This vintage Ko Yonezawa ‘Robby the Robot’ wind-up toy will appeal to collectors of both film memorabilia and old mechanical toys. It was made in 1956 or later, almost exactly in the image of Robby, the mechanical manservant from the science fiction film *Forbidden Planet*. The toy is mostly blue metal, with lithograph illustrations of Robby’s front control panel and a face that Robby never had. The toy still walks when wound up, but it has several dents and some spots of rust; otherwise it is in good condition.
